In Dread Awakening, a total of 18 cards – comprising six rare, six epic, and six legendary – can be obtained solely through crafting. Introduced recently in Gods Unchained, crafting involves the players giving up a designated set of cards in exchange for creating new ones. The availability of crafting these new cards is always restricted; it is associated with particular sets and ceases once the sales period for those sets concludes.

Dread Awakening introduces modifications to the crafting of Legendary items. Now, Epic cards involved in the crafting process will be reduced to Meteorite Shine quality. Although it appears that the original cards are consumed in the process, crafters will receive new versions of these Epic cards with a Meteorite finish.

If you're unable to access the beta, don't worry! You still have the opportunity to accumulate Marks through engaging in social quests on DeQuest. A lot of these involve typical activities like following, retweeting, and joining, but there are also quests that require achievements within the game itself.

Moreover, MetalCore is organizing a migration event. They are encouraging users to transfer their MetalCore Infantry NFTs to the Immutable skEVM network. By migrating your Infantry NFTs, you'll be able to use them in the MetalCore game and qualify for MCG token rewards, which can be claimed at the Token Generation Event (TGE). To qualify for the additional token reward, you must transfer your Infantry NFTs during the period from now until May 14th, 2024, by 3 PM PST.

MCG will serve as a token for staking and converting items into NFTs. Additionally, players can exchange MCG for Shards, a currency within the game that is essential for most in-game advancements, including buying cosmetic enhancements and conveniences like rapid transit and accelerated equipment maintenance.

We haven't set an exact launch date for MCG, but the team is aiming to release it shortly following the conclusion of Phase 2.

In the midst of mostly upbeat updates within the web3 gaming sector, we need to share a disappointing piece of news. It concerns Eternal Dragons, who are completely closing down their game. Development on Eternal Dragons has been halted, and soon, their servers, website, and Discord will also be shut down in the upcoming weeks.

Following a peak last year, a decline in player base and continuous financial issues have caused yet another game to abruptly stop. Although Eternal Dragons was innovative in its approach to integrate NFTs as a means of backing and sharing profits with professional players, it failed to garner sufficient interest to sustain its development.

For holders of Eternal Dragons NFTs, there's a bit of positive news. The team behind Eternal Dragons has announced a buyback program for Genesis Dragons and Eggs owned by users. This program will specifically target NFTs from the Genesis collection, as the option to hatch new eggs has been discontinued. The compensation offered is $30 USDC for each Egg and between $12 to $120 USDC for Dragons, depending on their rarity. Although this compensation might not fully cover the high costs that were initially paid by owners last year, it is nonetheless a better outcome than the typical scenario where owners are left with nothing when a game ceases operation.
