These Marks can be exchanged for MSG, which is the designated blockchain-based currency of the MetalCore ecosystem.

If you're unable to access the beta, don't worry! You still have the opportunity to accumulate Marks by engaging in social quests on DeQuest. A lot of these involve typical actions like following, retweeting, and joining, but there are also some that require achievements within the game.

Furthermore, MetalCore is launching a migration campaign. They are encouraging all users to transfer their MetalCore Infantry NFTs to the Immutable skEVM network. By migrating your Infantry NFTs, they will become usable within the MetalCore game and will qualify for MCG token rewards, which can be claimed at the TGE. To qualify for the token reward, you must migrate your Infantry NFTs during the period from now until May 14th, 2024, at 3pm PST.

MCG will serve as a token for staking and converting items into NFTs. Additionally, players can exchange MCG for Shards, a currency integral to almost every aspect of in-game advancement, including buying cosmetic enhancements and convenience features like rapid transit and accelerated equipment maintenance.

There isn't a confirmed launch date for MCG yet, but the team aims to release it shortly following the conclusion of Phase 2.

What is MetalCore?

MetalCore is a blockchain-based video game that blends elements of Planetside and Battlefield. Eternal Dragons, despite its innovative approach of integrating NFTs to benefit and share profits with professional players, failed to draw enough participants to sustain its development.

For holders of Eternal Dragons NFTs, there's a bit of positive news. The team behind Eternal Dragons has announced plans to repurchase Genesis Dragons and Eggs from users. This repurchase initiative will be limited to NFTs from the Genesis collection, as the option to hatch new eggs has been discontinued. The team is proposing to pay $30 USDC for each Egg, and between $12 to $120 USDC for Dragons, depending on their rarity. Although this offer might not fully compensate those who invested heavily last year, it is still a better outcome than the usual scenario where owners are left with nothing when a game ceases operations.

It may appear otherwise, but not everyone is destined for success. Sadly, Eternal Dragons falls into the category of those who haven't succeeded. From my perspective, their game lacked excitement, although the idea of their Player Cards is quite intriguing and could pave the way for future NFTs that embrace this concept.

These Player Cards functioned like a financial stake in a specific professional gamer, enabling Card owners to receive a portion of the player's earnings from competitions and events. This method offers an effective funding source for professional gamers and lets supporters engage more directly, making them feel involved in the action rather than mere spectators.

However, Eternal Dragons appeared to lack innovation in their gameplay and in the integration of other NFTs, resulting in a dwindling number of players and diminishing appeal to new participants.

Eternal Dragons was an online game that integrated web3 technologies, focusing on automatic combat between dragon teams on a grid-based map. The alpha release of Eternal Dragons occurred in December 2022, and it incorporated NFTs that operated on the Solana blockchain.
